“The truths of the world wish to be known, but they won’t force themselves upon you the way lies will. They’ll court you, whisper to you, play behind your eyelids, slip inside and warm your blood, dance along your spine and caress your neck until your flesh rises in bumps.”

This book was so much better than I expected!!!! This is without a doubt one of my favourite books ever. The writing style is amazing. It had been a while since i read a fantasy book, i had just forgotten how amazing they can be.

The premise of the book Is that the main character flees her wedding day in pursue of living a simple life.

“Who was this girl who thumbed her nose at two kingdoms and did as she pleased?”

She is of course is seventeen year old Princess Arabella Celestine Idris Jezelia, The First Daughter of the House of Morrighan, better known as Lia.

Ready for her new life in the small sea side village , with her best friend serving as a tavern maid her heart is torn between two handsome and mysterious strangers that arrive. One being the prince she refused to marry and the other an assassin. Her world will never go back to the way it was, nor the way she imagined.

the writing is so beautifully done and it is so easy to imagine the world they are in. Seriously though it is so good. I'm going to read the next one now.

“But remember, child, we may all have our own story and destiny, and sometimes our seemingly bad fortune, but we're all part of a greater story too. One that transcends the soil, the wind, time... even our own tears. Greater stories will have their way.”
