One of my all time favourite books, the way it's written and especially the whole concept of the book.
Fashion, love, Paris, family, high society and of course Nick Halliday!
What more could I ask for?
The first time reading this book I was about 12 years old, so keep in mind any rereads contain a lot of nostalgia for me. I was instantly gripped and found it so easy to visualise. Although a times it can be a bit overwhelming with descriptions but at the age bracket I was in it was perfect.
The novels follows the adventures of Angel (Angelique) Moncoeur and her love of fashion. Angel and her mother Simone live their employer Phillip de Tourney and his daughter lily (Who happens to be Angel's best friend). Sooner rather than later Phillip invites his girlfriend Margot and her daughter Clarissa to look after Lily whilst he goes away on a trip.
Angel enters a Teen Couture competition which offers young and talented designers a chance to work with one of the most famous fashion designers. The thing is the competition takes place in Paris and the only way Angel can get there is by switching places with Lily. What can go wrong?
Trouble stirs when things aren'g going the way Angel planned. Torn between Lily's grandmother and her own prince charming, Nick Halliday. She starts to loose sight of who she really is.
The Cinderella Moment is a fun, light and easy read. I would recommend for all those who love romance and of course fashion.
